Designed for Hockey Players

Hockey requires relentless movement, sharp edges, rapid directional change, and high-impact play. When your skates can shift under torque or when ice moisture seeps in, laces can loosen when you need them to stay tight.

Choosing the right lace for your hockey skates can be confusing. BRCĒ Hockey Skate Laces are engineered to provide a secure, consistent fit even when under the strenuous conditions of hockey’s ice, sweat, and physical contact. Whether you’re battling in the crease, breaking out on a line rush, or blocking a slapshot, your laces will allow you to focus on the game with confidence.

Hockey-Optimized Skate Lace Technology

Skate, strike, and defend with our laces’ interlocking grip tech ridges that resist slippage under constant stress and motion.

  • High-Tech Ankle Bracing that aims to prevent common ankle injuries and improve support while on the ice.
  • Universal Fit that makes our laces compatible with Bauer, CCM, True, and other leading skate brands.
  • Moisture-Resistance to prevent your laces from degrading from ice, sweat, and slush, keeping our composite consistent in varied temps.
  • Ultra Strong Build resists fraying in high wear zones such as eyelets and lace crossings, even in repeated hard shifts.
  • Dynamic Tension Balance flexes your skates where needed and locks where critical, optimizing for sudden movement and pivots.

The Science of the lace

At its core, BRCĒ is a material science company built on innovation, stability, and performance. Our patented interlocking grip technology is derived from space-grade composite materials, engineered for high-friction environments where failure isn’t an option.

Micro-hooks

Tiny protrusions that latch onto the opposite layer.

Micro-Ridges

Fine surface textures that interlock across layers.

By integrating microhooks and microridges into each lace fiber, we’ve created a surface that grips against itself, preventing slippage even under extreme vibration or motion. This unique structure mirrors how braces and supports work in engineering: by redistributing pressure and reinforcing key stress points.

The result is the world’s first lacing system that truly “never quits.” From running to basketball to everyday wear, BRCĒ is more than a lace; it’s a performance tool designed to move with you, endure, and brace every stride

Frequently asked questions

What shoelace length should I get?

It depends on your shoe and eyelet count. As a starting point: kids' sneakers usually take 24" or 36", most adult athletic shoes take 36" or 54", and boots or high-tops usually need 72". If you're between sizes, size up, a little extra length is easier to manage than laces that are too short. Check our size guide for the full breakdown by shoe size and eyelet count. Check our sizing chart here.

What laces should I purchase for everyday wear?

For everyday shoes, school, casual sneakers, regular movement we recommend our Running line as the best general purpose. It's built for lightweight, all-day comfort.

What's actually different about the material?

It's a patented composite textile - U.S. Patent #12,408,733 - with a micro-textured surface that grips more the more it's put under tension. Nothing added, nothing extra to break. Just the lace itself, engineered to lock in when it matters.

Do I need to do anything special to install them?

Nope, lace them up exactly the way you would any other pair. No tricks, no tools, no learning curve.

What if they don't work for us?

No worries, we want you to be happy with them. You've got 30 days to return them, as long as they're unworn and still in original packaging. Just email us at support@brce.shop and we'll walk you through it.

How long do they last?

Long enough to get you through a full season of daily wear like recess, practice, everyday movement, all of it.

What shoes do they work with?

Any standard lace-up shoe with eyelets like sneakers, cleats, skates, hiking boots, walking shoes you name it. For sport-specific performance (extra ankle lockdown, ice grip, court traction), check out our dedicated lines.

What makes BRCĒ shoelaces safe for everyday use?

They're a woven textile, same as a standard lace, no clips, hardware, or added parts. The grip comes from the fiber structure itself, so there's nothing extra to catch, snap, or come loose.

Can I leave the BRCĒ shoelaces tied and just slip my shoes on and off?

Yes, that's actually how a lot of people use them. Once tied to your fit, they hold their tension, so slipping in and out works great.

Will they be harder to untie than regular laces?

Not at all! They tie and untie just like the laces you're used to. The grip only activates under motion, so day-to-day handling doesn't change.
